But agri-business banking specialist Rabobank expects the outlook for sheep meat is not as strong.
Parts of China are still being forced into lockdown when Covid-19 cases are found, slowing the country's economic growth.
RaboResearch agricultural analyst Genevieve Steven says it means New Zealand's sheep meat exports have been 30 percent down on a year ago.
She says Australia's lamb production is lifting so they're expecting higher levels of supply on the global market when there isn't as much demand.
