Jacko Gill finally has one up on Tom Walsh this athletics season

Jacko Gill finally has one up on Tom Walsh this athletics season

Gill has placed third in the shot put at the Lausanne Diamond League event with a best throw of 21.59 metres, while Walsh finished fifth with 21.30 metres.

Joe Kovacs won the event in 22.65 metres, upsetting fellow American Ryan Crouser who had to settle for second with 22.05 metres.

Walsh acknowledges Gill's form, but he doesn't enjoy being beaten by him.

High jumper Hamish Kerr placed fourth, while Sam Tanner was eighth in the 1500 metres.
