Australia's lead in Sail GP season three has been cut to one point by New Zealand after the fifth round of the series in St Tropez

Tom Slingsby's defending series champions have failed to make the top three podium race for the second regatta in a row, finishing fifth.

It's allowed Peter Burling's Kiwi team to close the gap at the top of the standings after finishing second.

Slingsby admits they have slipped off the pace.



The sixth round of the Championship is in Cadiz in Spain in a fortnight.
