Canterbury Police are continuing to investigate a Boxing Day spree of thefts in Lyttelton

Three different stores were targeted down the port side suburb's main drag, with thieves taking cigarettes, vape gear and a cash register.

Officers then spiked a vehicle involved in the incident in Woolston shortly after two-am, but the offenders fled the scene

Lyttelton SuperValue's owner Rob De Thier says at least three-thousand dollars worth of products were stolen.

Police are asking anyone with information or who witnessed the breakins to come forward.
