One Australian state is banning mobile phones mobile phones in high school classrooms

It'll take effect in New South Wales public schools from term four.

Local Secondary Principals Council President Craig Peterson says tehy had preferred not to impose a blanket ban.

He says they're concerned a mobile phone is the only technology some disadvantaged students and families have access to.
