A brush with world champion Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus has Kiwi Eve Thomas ready to make her mark at this week's World Championships in Fukuoka

A brush with world champion Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus has Kiwi Eve Thomas ready to make her mark at this week's World Championships in Fukuoka

The pair share the same coach in Dean Boxall at the St Peters Western Swim Club in Brisbane.

The 22-year-old will compete in the 400, 800 and 1500 metre freestyle events.

Thomas says being in a high pressure atmosphere has pushed her to improve in the pool.

Thomas is part of the 14-strong New Zealand team who are on their way to Japan.
