Claims a Greens policy on returning land to Maori is unlikely to be adopted, in Government

The Party's announced it'll reinstate the Waitangi Tribunal's ability to make recommendations on privately owned land and land put on the market.
It also wants to remove the 2008 deadline to lodge new Treaty claims.
AUT history professor Paul Moon says it'll be very politically unpopular.
He says in the policy on private land ownership simply won't happen because it'll upset a huge number of people ... who's land tenure will suddenly seem uncertain.
