Tiniroto Road between Wairoa and Gisborne remains closed after a major land slip last night

Tiniroto Road between Wairoa and Gisborne remains closed after a major land slip last night

The stretch of road between Rockhill and Parikanapa Road is impassable -- people are told to travel by State Highway 2 instead.

It's at the same location of a landslide caused by Cyclone Bola in 1988.

A geotechnical risk assessment will happen this morning.
