A teacher's been charged with serious misconduct - after allegations made by a student a decade after the event

A teacher's been charged with serious misconduct - after allegations made by a student a decade after the event

Alarm bells were raised at a North Island high school in 2020.

Students had found the teacher was following 15 and 16-year-old girls on Instagram - as well as pornographic accounts.

A student he taught between 2008 to 2009, has since related how the educator made a number of advances to her, after she left school.

The man, who's no longer teaching, has been charged with two counts of misconduct.
