A former female teacher at Auckland's Dilworth School struck off the teacher's register for sexual relationships with students, has tried, and failed to keep her name secret

A former female teacher at Auckland's Dilworth School struck off the teacher's register for sexual relationships with students, has tried, and failed to keep her name secret

Police uncovered Julia Brown's sexual relationships with two students in the 90s, while investigating historical sexual abuse at the school.

Open Justice reports the 56-year-old had applied to keep her name secret, arguing she's previously suffered distress, and being named would upset her unwell mother and affect her future employment prospects.

But the Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal rejected the application -- stating professionals need to think of such issues before committing serious misconduct.
