    State Highway 2 has re-opened to one lane in Hawke's Bay, south of Wairoa - after a fatal landslide over the weekend


    One person died after crashing into the slip and another was injured.

    More than 20 local roads were also damaged.

    Wairoa Civil Defence Controller Juanita Savage says rural property owners are particularly impacted.

    She says reports she's receiving suggest damage to the land is greater than from Cyclone Gabrielle.
