The Prime Minister says sex education is an important role for parents to play - and schools

As part of National's agreement with NZ First, they'll remove and replace the gender, sexuality and relationship-based education guidelines.
Chris Luxon says parents have raised questions about the sexuality part -- and the education has varied between schools.
He says they want a well defined curriculum, that's age appropriate, agreed to by experts and that parents have been consulted and can withdraw their children.
Parents are already currently able to withdraw their child from sex education.
