A return to Auckland for British tennis star Emma Raducanu

A return to Auckland for British tennis star Emma Raducanu

The 2021 US Open champion has been handed a wildcard for next month's ASB Classic - joining fellow Grand Slam winners Coco Gauff and Caroline Wozniacki in the women's final field.

Raducanu played in Auckland at the start of this year - but was forced to retire with injury during her second round match.

Also given a wildcard is young American Amanda Anisimova - who rose to 21 in the world as a teenager - and is making her return after announcing an indefinite break from tennis in May this year due to mental health concerns.
