KP Pannu has won his way through to the ASB Tennis Classic for a second time, taking out the Te Anau Invitational event, which doubled as the local wildcard playoff for the event

Pannu beat 19-year-old Jack Loutit 6-3 7-5 in the final, with Loutit to contest the qualifying event at Stanley St by virtue of finishing runner-up in Te Anau.

The 26-year-old Pannu was the winner of last year's local play-off and faced eventual winner Richard Gasquet in the first round at the ASB Classic.

Pannu says he's stoked to get a crack at the big guys again at the Classic, which runs from January 8th to the 13th, with qualifying taking place on January the 6th and 7th.

The women's WTA event runs from the 1st to the 7th of January.
