Police and helicopters were called to a serious crash involving three motorcycles - in Fiordland

Emergency services were called to State Highway 94 - just south of the Homer Tunnel, on the Milford Sound Highway, just before 11 this morning.

A St John incident report states two people were transported to Lakes Hospital - after two helicopters and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

Police urge motorists travelling to or from the Milford Sound to postpone their travel, and expect delays.
