    New Zealand's lone hope at the men's ASB tennis Classic has fallen at the first hurdle of the tournament


    Wildcard KP Pannu was ousted in straight sets by Australian Max Purcell, who came away with a 6-4, 6-4 win.

    It's the second consecutive year the 27-year-old has been beaten in the first round.

    Pannu compares his back-to-back appearances on Stanley Street.
