New Zeland have a shot to become one of the top 16 tennis nations in the world this weekend

New Zeland have a shot to become one of the top 16 tennis nations in the world this weekend

The Davis Cup Group One playoff against Turkey in Auckland is set to be a tough ask for the Kiwis with their top two singles players, Rubin Statham and Ajeet Rai's ranks nearing the 500 mark.

Meanwhile, Turkey has four players ranked inside the top 400.

New Zeland are also without their top doubles player, Michael Venus - leaving the task to Marcus Daniell and his likely partner, Finn Reynolds.

But despite how it looks on paper, non-playing New Zealand captain, Kelly Evernden feels good.
