In rugby league...a Josh Addo-Carr double and some serious defensive grit have helped the Indigenous All-Stars beat their Maori counterparts 22-14 in Townsville

The Maori side dominated territory, were tackled 51 times inside the opposition 20 metre zone compared with the Indigenous side's 17, and ran for nearly 300 metres more, but lacked precision on attack.

Maori coach Adam Blair was disappointed with the result, but not the effort.

Maori captain Joseph Tapine was close to best on field with 114 metres and six tackle busts to go with a try.
