Tiger Woods' return to the PGA Tour has lasted just 24 holes

The American golf great has withdrawn from the second round of the Genesis Invitational in California, after hitting his tee shot at the seventh.

Wood was one-over par for the round and projected to be just outside the cut, when he asked for a cart and was driven off the course by a rules official... who later said the 48-year-old had an illness, and his depature was not related to his dodgy ankle or back.
