    Veteran Australian opener David Warner is calling for a New Zealand team to join cricket's Big Bash T20 competition across the Tasman


    The 37-year-old is on his final tour of New Zealand as part of the T20 side for a three-game series against the Black Caps, starting on Wednesday.

    Warner had a brief stint playing for Northern Districts during the 2010/11 season.

    He says the level of talent in the country is proof that a team in the Big Bash makes sense.
