Those looking for their furry soul mate may need to look no further than the first ever greyhound speed dating event in Auckland today

Those looking for their furry soul mate may need to look no further than the first ever greyhound speed dating event in Auckland today

Charity Greyhounds as Pets is aiming to pair five retired dogs with their loving humans, at Devonport's Vondel restaurant this afternoon.

Organiser Dawn Glover says greyhounds aren't the first pick for those looking to adopt dogs.

She says the dogs are incredibly easy to live with because they don't bark, and can sleep up to 18 hours a day sometimes.
