A cannabis comedy of errors has landed two Hastings people in court

Police say a resident in Mahora, Hastings contacted them - when they noticed a balaclava-clad man with a butcher's knife in their property.

Officers located the man, and a massive cannabis plant stuffed into a green waste bin.

Police later returned to the address with a search warrant - and found several other cannabis plants, buds and seeds.

The 33-year-old informant faces drugs charges - a 35 year faces an aggravated burglary charge.
