    A man's been taken into custody in South Auckland's Otara after reports of a person carrying a firearm


    The man was allegedly seen with the gun at an address on Rongomai Road before he got into a vehicle.

    He was then tracked to an address on Wynton Place where he was picked up.

    Police also recovered a long-barrelled air rifle from the address on Rongomai Road.

    Charges are being considered.
