White Ferns skipper Sophie Devine is aware that time is the biggest rival to the development of New Zealand's female cricketers

She told ESPNcricinfo earlier this week that there isn't much depth coming through the ranks in the country, despite strides being made in the game.

Devine says the future of New Zealand women's cricket is promising, but adds the White Ferns won't be a powerhouse overnight.



The White Ferns' second T20 against England in Nelson is tomorrow afternoon.
