Phoenix women's football coach Paul Temple is sympathising with fans after the team crashed out of A-League play-off contention

Results on Saturday ended to their chances, ahead of the 1-nil defeat away to Canberra United.

Temple's offered his thoughts after topping the table earlier in the campaign.

The Phoenix have one home match to play this Saturday against Western Sydney.
