    Dairy company Synlait is grappling with how to deal with high debt and declining profitability, after reporting a half-year loss of almost 100-million dollars


    JMI Wealth Director Andrew Kelleher says it could be looking to sell its Pokeno factory, Auckland canning facility or Dairyworks brand, and raise more equity.

    He says when a company has high levels of debt, its problems also become its lenders' problems.
