Rosanna Arquette says dementia-stricken Bruce Willis was a "gentleman" to work with

The actress, 64, starred with dad-of-five Bruce, 69 - who retired from acting in 2022 due to his brain disorder aphasia affecting his ability to understand language - in 1994's 'Pulp Fiction' and 'The Whole Nine Yards' six years later

She has now told People about her fond memories of working with the 'Die Hard' star and of the days when he was a bartender before he made it big starring in the 1980s TV series 'Moonlighting': "He's just a sweet, good guy. I remember him better as being the bartender (in New York City) where everybody would go, to this cafe called Café Central, and it was the hang.

"He was the bartender just before he had gotten 'Moonlighting'.

"'Everybody from (Robert) De Niro to (Martin) Scorsese (would come.)

"It was, like, the real hang.

"(Bruce) had that charm and he had the charisma.

"Then he got 'Moonlighting', and then that was it. He was a star."

Rosanna played drug dealer's wife Jody in 'Pulp Fiction', which saw Bruce portray con-man boxer Butch Coolidge who double-crosses gangster Marsellus Wallace, played by the now 64-year-old Ving Rhames.

The actress added she believes 'Pulp Fiction' stands the test of time for audiences 30 years after it was released as the "screenplay is fantastic" and its creator Quentin Tarantino, 61, is "such a great writer".

She added the movie was packed with a "great cast", which also included Eric Stoltz, 62, John Travolta, 70, Samuel L Jackson, 75, Uma Thurman, 53, Tim Roth, 62, and 67-year-old Amanda Plummer.

Rosanna said: "At the time (of making 'Pulp Fiction'), we're just in there, we're rehearsing, we're working with a great director, but didn't realise how huge it would become - which it really did."

Even though Rosanna hasn't since been in regular contact with Quentin she said she would "love" to work again with the director.
