West Auckland will be welcoming more than 20 new electric double-decker buses, as usage increases

West Auckland will be welcoming more than 20 new electric double-decker buses, as usage increases

As part of a new 166-million dollar deal with Tranzit Group, Auckland will see more than 40 new electric buses from next April.

Thirty-nine point seven percent more people made trips in February using the West Auckland bus network, compared to February last year.

AT's director of public transport Stacey van der Putten says the buses will deliver a significant boost to the capacity of the service as its popularity continues to grow.
