Retailers may have to replace thousands of Serene heaters

Retailers may have to replace thousands of Serene heaters

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment's identified three Serene heaters up for recall.

Serene S2068 heaters sold after June 2018 should no longer be used because they are potentially dangerous - and its S2069 and S207T models don't meet electrical safety standards.

MBIE Business Specialist, Ian Caplin, they are aware of 15-thousand units sold around the country.

He says figures are likely to increase as they rely on suppliers for more information.
