    A 4.7 magnitude earthquake has hit south of the Taranaki town of Waverley

    A 4.7 magnitude earthquake has hit south of the Taranaki town of Waverley



    The shake, just after 8.30 last night, may have been felt across the south-west of the North Island and top of the South Island.

    Geonet recorded it at a depth of 70km, with almost 3-thousand people saying they felt it.
