Intrigue over how Melissa Lee's portfolio axing, could impact the Fair Digital News Bargaining Bill

Intrigue over how Melissa Lee's portfolio axing, could impact the Fair Digital News Bargaining Bill

Lee was removed from her Media portfolio by Chris Luxon over the weekend, with Penny Simmonds also losing her Disability Issues Portfolio.

Paul Goldsmith will take over from Lee, with Louise Upston coming in for Simmonds.

Newstalk ZB political editor Jason Walls, says Luxon wanted to make the point that a senior minister was needed in the media portfolio.

He says it's a tough portfolio to understand, and it'll be interesting to see what the Government comes up with in the Bill.
