A Police-led training exercise may cause disruption in Wainuiomata this morning

Police, the Defence Force, and Wellington Free Ambulance are conducting the exercise on Moores Valley Road in the Lower Hutt suburb from 9am, for most of the day.

Passersby may see officers in tactical uniforms carrying guns, in military vehicles, and some smoke.

There'll also be a fair amount of noise, but the public's assured there's no danger.
