Confirmation injuries to two star members of the Black Ferns Sevens side have ruled them out of this afternoon's semifinal against Fiji at the World Series event in Singapore

Confirmation injuries to two star members of the Black Ferns Sevens side have ruled them out of this afternoon's semifinal against Fiji at the World Series event in Singapore

Both Tyla King and Shiray Kaka were forced from the field in last night's quarterfinal win over Great Britain.

A team spokesperson says neither player will feature today - but wasn't able to provide an update on the severity of their injuries.

The Black Ferns semifinal starts just after 5pm.

The New Zealand men are also through to the semifinals - where they'll face Australia at 10 past 6.
