Emily Blunt has wanted to throw up while making movies with on-screen lovers who turned her off

The 41-year-old actress, who has daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, seven, with her actor husband John Krasinski, 44, plays Ryan Gosling's romantic interest Jody Moreno in her latest film 'The Fall Guy', and has previously starred alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Cillian Murphy in 'Oppenheimer'

She told 'The Howard Stern' show when host Howard, 70, asked her if she had wanted to vomit when her chemistry with her leading men has been lacking: "Absolutely. Absolutely."

Emily then stressed: "I wouldn't say it's sort of extreme loathing" - but added: "I've definitely not enjoyed some of it."

The actress also admitted when talking about on-screen romances: "I've had chemistry with people I haven't liked."

When Howard asked her to name the co-stars, Emily added: "I'm not gonna tell you."

She added: "I have had chemistry with people who... I have not had a good time working with them.

"Sometimes it's a strange thing. Sometimes you could have a rapport that's really effortless, but it doesn't translate on screen.

"Chemistry is this strange thing. It's an ethereal thing that you can't really bottle up and buy or sell. It's like there or it's not.

"It's just easier when you have a natural rapport with someone."

She said about the technique she uses to get through films when she is feeling no chemistry with her main co-star: "I've got to find something I love about everybody. I have to find something... even if it's one thing.

"It might be that they have a nice laugh or I like how they speak to people - they're polite.

"I mean, it might be something random. But find something you love about that person or something you love about them as the character and then kind of lean into that."

Emily also stressed she wasn't referring to 43-year-old Ryan Gosling - who has daughters Esmeralda Amada, nine, and Amada Lee, eight, with his partner Eva Mendes, 50 - when it came to a lack of chemistry on set.

She said: "I love his wife, Eva (Mendes.) I love their children, and I feel like I'm very lucky to be friends with a gem of a person like him."
