Joe Manganiello was stunned to realise a fan had made him an explicit comic book

The 47-year-old actor was very impressed by the hand-made gift and told his admirer how much he liked it - but it wasn't until he eventually got round to reading it that he realised it was nothing like he'd expected due to its very graphic content

Appearing on 'Watch What Happens Live', he said: "Someone spent a year drawing a comic book and then gave it to me [at a fan conventions].

"I said, 'Oh, this is amazing.' And then I saw them the next day and they said, 'Did you like my comic?' I said, 'Of course, it was amazing. You know, you put so much work into it.' I didn't read it, but I went on and on about how great it was."

But the former 'True Blood' star couldn't believe his eyes when he actually opened it up.

He explained: "It was him as an anthropomorphic rabbit meeting an anthropomorphic wolf man and then..."

Host Andy Cohen asked: "They [has sex]?"

    Joe confirmed: "Barebacking. Yes.

"I was like, 'Oh, I love it. It was so great.' He was like, 'You did!?' I'm like, 'Yeah! Totally!' Didn't read it. Then... that's what I get."

Joe recently admitted he would give up his career if he was told he needed to film in the freezing rain because of a "traumatising" experience on the set of 'True Blood'.

Speaking on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show', he said: "Let me tell you something. When I was on 'True Blood' we didn't shoot in Louisiana - the warm Louisiana. We shot in Malibu [in] December, January for anybody who's out there it's below 20 degrees at night and now on 'True Blood', we were naked.

"[We did] nothing with clothes on! So then they're like, 'Stop shivering, try to make it sexy!' Like no man, I'm freezing.

"So believe me... I wouldn't take it. I was traumatised by it all."
