A warning for parents to understand the fire risks for children's nightwear this winter

Retailer Crackerjack has been fined more than 170-thousand dollars for not displaying fire hazard labels on kids' pyjamas.

The Commerce Commission has also warned Oodie's parent company - Davie Clothing - about labelling wearable towels.

Product Safety Manager Grant McIntosh says parents should be aware the danger of injury from being near any heat source is too high.
