Black Caps coach opts for anecdotal cost-benefit analysis on flying team members into their T20 World Cup camp

Black Caps cricket coach Gary Stead has opted for anecdotal cost-benefit analysis on flying team members into their T20 World Cup camp intermittently, compared to a more structured set-up

New Zealand have no practice matches ahead of their tournament opener against Afghanistan in Guyana on Saturday.

Stead's opting for open-wicket trainings instead, tapping up anyone who fancies donning the pads or marking out their run.

    He explains his method.

Stead is currently parked up watching fellow pool members Afghanistan and Uganda play at Providence.
