Latest figures from Stats NZ shows the country's had an annual net migration gain of 98-thousand-500 people in the year to April.
229-thousand people arrived while 130-thousand left.
JMI Wealth Director Andrew Kelleher says the net migration gain's down from the peak of 137-thousand in October last year.
He says migration's cooling, so we could be seeing a change in trend.
