    A Police officer was attacked in Auckland last night during a pair of violent incidents


    Around 10pm a driver with drug utensils on his seat allegedly assaulted an officer in Massey before taking off.

    He was eventually stopped with road spikes in Takapuna and taken into custody.

    In a separate incident, two men allegedly pointed a firearm at people during a break-in at a Glen Innes property around 11pm.

    The two men, aged 23 and 25 were arrested and are due in Auckland District Court on a variety of charges.
