Dunedin shoppers are looking happy - as Kmart opens again

Dunedin shoppers are looking happy - as Kmart opens again

It's more than four years since the retailer last had a store in the city, and when the doors opened at 8am, a queue of customers snaked out the door.

New Zealand Country Manager, Matthew Hallal says the opening has been overwhelmingly positive.

He says they applauded every customer who came in this morning, and his hands were getting sore - which was a good sign for opening.

Hallal says many customers were pleased they no longer have to go to Queenstown or Invercargill.
