    SPCA's Taupo Centre closed today, after a man demanding the return of his dog yesterday threatened to burn the building down


    Staff immediately closed up and notified Police.

    Animal services general manager, Corey Regnerus-Kell, says security has been intensified and staff have been offered counselling.
