Raw sewage continues to flow into Wellington harbour, a week and a half after a pipe burst

Raw sewage continues to flow into Wellington harbour, a week and a half after a pipe burst

Wellington Water crews have been working to repair the pipe in Days Bay, with sucker trucks operating around the clock in an attempt to remove wastewater from the beach.

Concerns have now been raised over local penguins, with fencing installed to keep them out of the worksite.

The water agency says it's a complex leak , but acknowledge it's taking longer than it would like, saying repairs are expected to take at least one more week.
