Shades of Bohemian Rhapsody weather on the America's Cup challenger series race course off the coast of Barcelona

Shades of Bohemian Rhapsody weather on the America's Cup challenger series race course off the coast of Barcelona

The conditions reached "thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening" levels during Team New Zealand's race against Luna Rossa which brought an early end to day five and the start of the second round robin.

The defenders were disqualified for sailing outside the boundary to avoid the storm - they were already down against the Italian-based syndicate after coming off the foils in the dial-up.

Elsewhere, Alinghi posted a first win, beating Orient Express Racing.
