A Jetstar flight from Auckland to Christchurch's been delayed 10 hours after the wind picked up a set of boarding stairs and threw them into the plane

It was scheduled to leave at 1.15pm, but is now expected to take off at 11.15 tonight.

A passenger says they felt a jolt and all passengers were forced to evacuate.

Jetstar says the aircraft's left wing suffered minor damage that requires repairing.
