A new high-tech way to catch those parking illegally in Hutt Valley

A new high-tech way to catch those parking illegally in Hutt Valley

The Hutt City Council's launching a trial run of a parking enforcement car mounted with aero ranger camera kits.

The cameras will be able to read car number plates to see who hasn't paid for parking, as well as checking if vehicles have a valid warrant of fitness and registration.

Tickets will then be sent in the post.

The six month trial starts next month.
