    Top-flight English football club Fulham has been knocked out of the League Cup in extraordinary fashion by second-tier Preston North End


    After the match ended in a 1-all stalemate, the home side prevailing 16-15 in a 34-penalty shootout - the longest ever in the competition.

    Manchester United has roared into the last 16 with a 7-0 rout of third-tier Barnsley.

    Premier League sides Brentford and Crystal Palace also had fourth round wins.
