Thousands of KiwiSaver members who switched funds during Covid could be missing out on potential higher returns

Thousands of KiwiSaver members who switched funds during Covid could be missing out on potential higher returns

New Westpac data shows it processed about 18-thousand requests to switch from a growth to conservative funds during market uncertainty between February and March 2020.

It's projecting someone with 25-thousand dollars going Conservative then, would have about 388-thousand-dollars by 2054.

Had they stayed with Growth, they'd have about 615-thousand -- a gap of more than 225-thousand-dollars.
