    A man has been arrested following a violent assault on a woman in Auckland's New Lynn on Thursday


    Police allege the male offender was attempting to recover a stolen vehicle at the time.

    A woman in the vehicle suffered knife wounds and was seriously injured

    "A 24-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
