A neighbour says the woman found dead at her Christchurch home was very community-oriented

A neighbour says the woman found dead at her Christchurch home was very community-oriented

Police discovered the woman's body at a Mount Pleasant Road property on Monday afternoon.

A man's appeared in court, charged with murdering her last Friday.

Neighbour Andrew Woodward says the news has come as a shock, after growing up across the road from her.

He says it's incredibly sad for this to happen to someone who's given so much to the community.

Police say the person charged was known to the victim, and they're not seeking anyone else.
