Canterbury league stalwart Andrew Aumatagi hopes a rare Kiwis Ferns test in Christchurch will help inspire the next generation

Canterbury league stalwart Andrew Aumatagi hopes a rare Kiwis Ferns test in Christchurch will help inspire the next generation

New Zealand are hosting Australia as part of a double-header on Sunday - the first women's league test in the city since 1998.

Aumatagi has been brought in as an assistant coach for the Pacific Championships.

The current team doesn't feature a Canterbury player - but Aumatagi believes the test could be a catalyst for change.
